Maroon Bells, Stormy Morning, Aspen, Colorado

This was the payoff for a 2:00am wakeup call in order to drive from Breckenridge to Aspen, Colorado in time for sunrise. I had always wanted to photograph the Maroon Bells, and this winter I made it happen. Billowy clouds softly lit by the light of sunrise with blue sky behind really cap off the Alpenglow on the snow dusted maroon Bells. Golden Aspens are the icing on the cake. Yes, I want to return and do it again.
