Denali National Park speaks for itself when it comes to beauty. This image was taken on my first visit to Alaska, and I found it truly awe inspiring. This pond was a 1 1/2 hour hike from my camp at Wonder Lake. After scouting this location several days earlier, I saw the possibility of a partially clearing sky for sunset. Mother Nature didn't disapoint. I was rewarded with an open view of Denali's summit, dramatic storm clouds, warm light and perfect reflections. The fall color didn't hurt either. Knowing the experience was amazing made the long hike in the rain, at dusk, in grizzly country all that more rewarding. Gotta love it!
