Oxbow Bend, Mount Moran and the Grand Teton

This is one of the most iconic vistas in Grand Teton National Park, so I chose to compose this scene from a slightly different angle, affording a glimpse of the Grand Teton above the ridgeline to the left. Beyond simply iconic, this image was afforded amazing morning light, beautiful reflections, gorgeous fall color, and fantastic depth. The overlap of layers, light and texture pull the viewer into this idyllic vista. I visited this spot five seperate times waiting for just the right natural conditions. It was well worth the effort!
