I climbed out onto an icy granite outcrop in anticipation of this dreamlike image. With Eagle Falls flowing heavily, and a fresh dusting of snow, soft morning light was the only missing ingredient. Given that Lake Tahoe is surrounded by mountians, the sun must be relatively high in the sky before its light shines into the basin. This leaves me with a "magic hour" of light that last about a minute. Good planning and pre-visualization are necessary. Everything came together on this morning.
