Backlit Pines and Granite

After witnessing a beautiful sunrise over emerald bay, I turned my focus to that amazing morning light backlighting the pine trees. The glow of those trees contrasted against the shadowed granite is a look that I am drawn to. It is signature Sierras, and the kind of magical light that has become a signature of many of my special, more intimate images.
