Milkyway & Clouds, Bonsai Rock, Lake Tahoe

Sometimes a sleepless night is ok. I recently visited a couple of locations to create photos of the Milkyway and was initially concerned that the sky became cloudy. I decided to go ahead with a few exposures while I waited for the clouds to clear. I was pleasantly surprised at what the clouds added to the images I was composing. This is the famous Bonsai Rock on the east shore of Lake Tahoe. This is a far cry from my large format landscapes shot on big film, but a nice escape. I am enjoying adding a little diversity to my portfolio.
