Wold Pack Panorama, Denali N.P.
I had never seen wolves in the wild prior to my Denali National Park trip. Well, my first encounter coincided with my 40th birthday. Amazing gift! While I was initially frustrated that I didn't have a digital SLR and long lens to "get close" to this pack of wolves, I did what I do best. I composed a beautiful panoramic landscape image of the earth toned fall colors of the tundra and the base of the mountains. The flow of this image truly moves me. The fact that I was able to incorporate 6 wolves into the image is the "special ingredient". An environmental portrait of epic proportions. I am glad I was "limited" by my equipment that day.
