Brown Bear Cub & Sow on Beach, Brooks River, Katmai National Park, Alaska

My experience at Brooks Camp in Katmai National Park was amazing. This image of a one year old brown bear cub and sow was taken just outside of the camping area in the forest. This young bear was one of the most beautiful I've seen. Given the protective nature of mother bears, i kept my distance, captured a few images and was ready to move if they decided to travel in my direction. This is a moment in time when I felt the bears were simply being, just as I was.
