Loch Fallen Leaf

$0.00

This image is a personal favorite. The mood and perspective are so deep. I had this image in my mind, but it took several dozen visits to have it come together. While Fallen Leaf Lake can be quite busy during the summer, it is quite calm in the off season. On this morning, Mount Tallac was shrouded in cloud. Just a hint of sunlight was breaking through the storm and hitting the base of the mountain where it meets the lake. The panoramic format accentuated the strip of visible land, and the perfect mirror reflection gives one pause to wonder which end is up. While captured in the High Sierras of California, this image transports me (and my imagination) to a loch somewhere in Scotland. This is what I had dreamed.

Enjoy the View!
