Mare & Colt Panorama
I spotted this wild mare and Colt while driving through the Nevada desert in late August. I took several images using my truck as a blind, then moved a bit closer on foot. After several minutes of capturing them grazing in the sagebrush, something spooked them and they began to run. This was my favorite image from our short encounter. I was able to capture that feeling of the vastly expansive high desert these beautiful creatures have come to represent. The wild west still exists.
