Blond Bear Cub and Aspens
Few things are more precious than bear cubs. This yearling was taking a break from pulling apart a rotten log with its mother as they searched for a supper of insects. The vantage point on top of the log enabled the cub to see above the tall meadow grasses. His beautiful blond coat blends very well with the grasses, but contrasts nicely against the backdrop of colors in the aspen grove behind. Fall in the High Sierras of Lake Tahoe is magical.
